There are some events that are just genuinely fun to photograph, and this was absolutely one of them.

LinkedIn brought together a group of women executives for an evening at the Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park as part of their CPO Forum at Talent Connect. The night was designed around good conversation, incredible food, art, and a chance to actually slow down and connect outside of the conference.

The evening started inside the museum, where guests were welcomed and given time to explore Boundless: Reflections of Southern California Landscapes before heading upstairs.

One of my favorite parts of photographing events like this is getting to capture the atmosphere around everything happening. The little details, the spaces people move through, and all of the work that goes into making an evening feel effortless.

From there, everyone headed to the rooftop for cocktails and appetizers overlooking Balboa Park. Live music from Boleros With Attitude played throughout the evening, and between the music, the view, and some seriously beautiful drinks, the rooftop was such a fun place to spend sunset.

After cocktails, everyone moved downstairs for a seated dinner. The tables were filled with greenery, candlelight, and little touches of LinkedIn blue, and somehow the food looked just as good as it tasted. I can confirm: it was incredible.

I loved getting to photograph an evening centered around bringing women in leadership together in such a beautiful space. From wandering through the galleries to cocktails on the roof and dinner downstairs, the entire night felt thoughtful, intimate, and genuinely fun to document.

Also, any event where photographing the food is part of my job is an event I am very happy to attend.
