I’ve known Adam since sophomore year of high school, which at this point means we’ve known each other through a whole lot of life. Getting to know Jenny and seeing how happy they are together has been such a joy. She is genuinely one of the sweetest people, and I absolutely adore the two of them together.

It’s pretty easy to see why these two found their way to each other.

For their one-year anniversary, they wanted some cute photos to celebrate, so we spent the evening wandering around Balboa Park together. Nothing too complicated or overly planned. Just walking around, talking, laughing, chasing pretty light, and stopping whenever a spot caught our eye.

Which, at Balboa Park, happens a lot..

I know, I know. Balboa Park.

It’s probably one of the most requested photo locations in San Diego, and I know plenty of photographers who are completely over shooting there. Somehow, I’m still not one of them.

Balboa Park is easily one of my favorite places in San Diego. I love the history, the old architecture, the gardens, and all of the tiny details you can find if you actually slow down and look around. You can walk for five minutes and suddenly have a completely different backdrop, and even after photographing there countless times, I still manage to find something that makes me feel inspired.

I’ll never get tired of this place.

Especially when a session is as easy going as this one. Wandering around one of my favorite places with an old friend and the person he loves, making photos simply because a year together felt worth remembering.. what a lovely way to spend an evening.
